Celebrating Easter: A FREE Easter Guide for Families
A 2-week guide for the weeks leading up to Easter to prepare families for the Resurrection of Christ
Hello friends! It’s been a little bit since I’ve written on here but now that our baby girl has arrived at the beginning of March, I’m feeling much more creativity and a new sense of motivation to get back to regular daily writing time and weekly posts. During my pregnancy, I felt like nearly all of my energy was devoted to growing that baby and resting as much as possible— leaving little margin for other outlets such as blogging.
But like any new season, it ushers in changes and new routines. I’m looking forward to writing about some of my favorite topics— homeschooling, motherhood, habits and routines at home, and maybe even dipping back into my minimalist ways with sharing my favorite tips!
Today, I’m sharing a special 2-week Easter Guide that I created last year! My kids and I had so much fun reading about eggs, the Resurrection story, doing science experiments, lots of crafts and baking, singing hymns, memorizing scripture, and reading lots of great books.
If you’d like this guide for your own family, you can download it for free at the end of this post! Whether or not you homeschool your kids, this guide can easily be incorporated into learning and Bible time at home or done in the evenings or weekends before Easter.
A Peek Inside the Easter Guide…
This simple guide is a way to way to build excitement, anticipation, and remembrance at the Easter season with your preschool and elementary aged children. It consists of book lists, hymns, scripture memory, crafts, baking ideas, science experiments, and other resources that can be done for the two weeks leading up to Easter.
It’s broken up into 2 parts (Week 1: Eggs and Week 2: The Resurrection Story). Feel free to do every part of this guide or select just a few based on the time and ages of your children! We do our Easter School during our “Morning Basket” time every day, usually lasting up to an hour depending on the activities planned.
Within this guide, you’ll find the following...
Easter hymns with printable lyric posters
Scripture memory with a printable mini-poster and copy-work page
A book-list for read-alouds
A list of plans and activities for the 2 weeks of Easter School
Resurrection Eggs instructions

Hi Mollie,
First off, congratulations on the arrival of your newest member of your family! I want to hear ALL about her when you have the time. Reading your post about Easter jolted me to think back on all of the Easter activities that I remember doing growing up. I do NOT remember us having the Hot Cross Buns; but my Mom had them on occasion back in her day. My Aunt used to make a type of Easter Bread; I "helped" her make it one year. I remember doing coloring pages and Easter cut out sugar cookies. We also used to do Easter Resurrection Eggs as well that told the Easter Story. We did a lot of the same traditions when the Grandkids all came along. It's only been in the last couple of years that we HAVEN'T done any of the regular Easter traditions due to the Grandkids going in 1,000 different directions.
Thanks for sharing!
Love in Christ,
Bethant
Wow this is amazing! Thanks
