Thanks Nikki! Yes I agree, sometimes it just takes seeing what actual homeschool families are doing instead of searching all over the internet! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Brooke! It’s not the “easy” way to school your kids but I think it’s the most fulfilling : ) Grateful to have veteran moms like you to share your wisdom!
When I first started homeschooling my kids were 5 and 3 so we kept our Bible time fairly simple...I would read out of the Jesus Storybook Bible, we'd sing a hymn (the Doxology was a good one), we'd memorize simple scripture, and do our prayer time. This past year we incorporated a gratitude journal (I wrote a post about this a couple of months ago!) and it was a great addition to our morning time. Another book we loved doing this year was Little Pilgrim's Progess, you'd have to take it slowly but it's such a neat way to talk about the path of Christianity.
Do you have any recommendations for Bible time materials for small kids (3 & 5yo)? Our church no longer has Sunday School and I’d like to incorporate into daily schedule like you mentioned with Morning Baskets.
Thanks for sharing Mollie! I love seeing what other homeschoolers are doing and getting ideas from them! Fantastic post!
