I am all for a life of simplicity and organization, Mollie! πŸ™Œ And the toy rotation is a game changer, I do it now with the grandkiddos-what’s old is new again! πŸ˜‰ Oh and I gotta say, I am SO glad I hung on to the quality toys my kids played with because the grandkids love them too now! (It happens sooner than you think-the years fly by!)

Thanks Brooke! I’m glad to hear you say that about saving your boys quality toys…I have a habit of getting rid of most toys that my kids have outgrown thinking that I’ll just replace when they have kids, but there’s something so nostalgic about saving the most special ones!

The boys will say, β€œoh I remember that!” So that’s fun to hear!

Your ideas are great for maintaining less toy clutter! May I also suggest that we skip the birthday favor bags full of trinkets that end up forgotten and headed for the landfill within days? Both making and taking them.

Agreed! I don’t mind giving little gifts when necessary but making them much more usable is key.

We're in a similar season now. Toy rotation really is the secret sauce, and I love that my kids know where everything's "home" is because it equips them to take responsibility in cleanup. Thanks for a great read!

Yes I agree! We don’t have a set in stone process for our rotation schedule but just kind of play it by ear when we need a β€œtoy refresh”. Thanks for reading!
