That's great! We love the Jesus Storybook Bible, it just gets at the heart of Christ so beautifully and never gets old no matter how many times we read through it. Glad it's a good rhythm for your family!
Lovely ideas. This season is so intense with co-op and children's choir events from our homeschool group, that I find myself stressing a bit that we can accomplish all the necessary projects, memory verses, and rehearsal schedules AS WELL AS enjoying the season. I like that you give yourself permission to lighten the school load - I may do that as well. I just put the town tree lighting on our calendar :) we live in NJ right by NYC but I'm not yet brave enough to venture there with kids at Christmas!
Thanks Melissa! Yes NYC at Christmastime is intense! I hope you and your kids are able to have a meaningful Advent season! It sounds like you have some special traditions, so just also give yourself grace to not do it all (we take a big break from a lot of our schoolwork and pick it up again in January)...and I don't feel guilty about doing that : )
Such lovely advent countdown activities, Mollie! And oh I can remember the excitement and anticipation in making red and green paper chains waiting for Christmas as a kid! Enjoy this wonderful season with your growing family, sweet friend! ♥️
Lovely ideas!
We just started the Jesus Storybook Bible Advent Devotional! We do the bible in the morning and Storybook at night and our kids have been loving it!
